Seamless Stainless Steel tube are made by piercing a solid billet of steel and then pilger over a mandrel to create hollow mother tubes and then drawing it to the customised tube size and finally annealed to required hardness.

The process results in a seamless tube with no weld joints. Seamless tubes are typically made in thicker wall thickness than welded tubes.

They are mostly preferred in applications with high pressure, high temperature or corrosive environments.
